Fridays at the Coffee Pot ...

Few classes are taught, the department is quiet, and from time to time, some of us bump into each other at the coffee pot or the copy machine.  Sometimes the conversation turns to what we're teaching, how it's going, what worked, what failed, frustrations, events, students.  Every now and then someone will say something that helps someone else: a way to do something, a way to view the course, the students, our profession, etc.

The goal of this blog is to offer a cyber meeting place for the exchange of ideas about teaching the MIS class.  A meeting place just like the departmental coffee pot -- but large enough for the more than 2000 professors who teach this class.

Each week, I'll post commentary on the week's news and pass along comments, ideas, links, or other thoughts that I've received during the week.  If something monumental happens, I'll post more frequently, but usually, there's no need to check this blog more than once per week.

I hope it works.  Please contribute!  Leave a comment on a blog entry or send mail to Ideas@TeachingMIS.com.  For specific requests, click  Invitation in the heading bar.

Thanks!

David
